The Projects

About Us

Students were part of the 2022 Architectural Forensics and Documentation course, taught by Adjunct Professor Lori Aument at Thomas Jefferson University’s College of Architecture and the Built Environment:

  • Mae Meler, BS Architectural Studies 2024

  • Amanda Schultz, BArch 2023

  • Cole Norris, BS Architectural Studies 2023

  • Micailah Cialella, BArch 2024

  • Emma Connolly, MS Historic Preservation

What We Did

During October and November 2022, Jefferson University students surveyed, measured, and researched the mansion, conducting:

  • Exterior survey using analog hand-measuring techniques and hand-held laser instruments, from the ground only

  • Interior survey of first and second floors only using the above-referenced techniques, as well as 3D LIDAR scanning technology

  • Research from Germantown Historical Society and Historic American Building Survey data, dating to 1966.

The work shown here was developed as the students' final projects.
